A Declaration of the Rights of Human Beings
On the Sovereignty of Life as Surpassing the Rights of Man
Raoul Vaneigem sets out a new declaration of human rights, by updating earlier declarations - from the French Revolution to the UN declaration in 1948.
These articles are written in a playful, poetic and provocative way that makes a profoundly serious point about the way in which progress towards true human rights is undermined by globalisation.
The author expands and analyses these articles in his new book that was released in December 2000 in French and translated by Liz Heron to English and published at June 2003.
